Kinangop: 22-year-old teacher stabbed to death by lover in night fight

A 22-year-old High School teacher has been killed by her jilted lover in Kinangop, police officers say.

Consolata Wambui was reportedly stabbed multiple times on the head and chest after a domestic tiff with her 25-year-old lover.

Neighbors say the two had separated prior to the incident and had only met briefly to discuss their relationship.

Wambui’s brother says he was alarmed by deafening screams from his mother’s house and on arrival, found the suspect with a bloody knife.

His sister was lying close by, unmoving and bleeding.

Neighbors who were alerted of the scuffle were able to overpower the 25-year-old suspect who works as a security guard in Western Kenya.

It took the help of police officers in patrol to save the suspect from the hands of angry residents who were baying for his blood.

Wambui who was living with her mother bled to death on her way to the hospital with the incident leaving locals in shock.

The suspect is being held at the Engineer police station awaiting his arraignment in court.
