Kirinyaga Deputy Speaker’s Office ‘Decorated’ With Human Waste

Two people are being held at Wang’uru police station and others being sought by police officers  for allegedly smearing the office of Kirinyaga County Assembly Deputy Speaker James Kinyua Mutugi with human waste.

Residents say this happened after the deputy speaker chased away land grabbers who had fenced the market at Ciagini village.

The market is meant for women traders in the area.

The deputy speaker, who is also the Wamumu ward MCA, said he will not be cowed adding that he will continue to fight for the right of Wamumu people.

“We will not allow two or three people to destroy the future of the people,” said Kinyua.

The two arrested persons are said to have been sent by the land grabbers.

“These people must go to court and face charges,” said one of the residents.

Another resident said that they were aware of the persons behind the grabbing of the public land and called for their immediate arrests.
