Kirinyaga: Notorious criminal brothers arrested, Ksh.200K recovered
Police in Kerugoya, Kirinyaga County, are holding two of the region’s alleged most notorious criminals after raiding their house following a tip-off from members of the public.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Kirinyaga Central sub-county Police Commander Doreen Oduor said the two suspects are brothers who have been terrorizing area residents.
According to Ms. Oduor, over Ksh.200,000 as well as several stolen items were recovered from the suspects’ house in Kimandi village during the operation.
Among the items include motorcycles, gas cookers and other items suspected to have been stolen from a shop in Kerugoya town which was reportedly broken into on Tuesday night.
The police boss further assured area residents that police patrol has now been increased in Kerugoya town and surrounding villages ahead of the festive season.
The suspects were detained at the Kerugoya Police Station as further investigations continue.
