The Kisii County Assembly on Thursday became the eight county in country to pass the Bridging Bridges (BBI) Bill.
Other county assemblies that have also passed the BBI Bill include West Pokot and Busia, both of which voted on Tuesday, as well as Homa Bay, Kisumu and Siaya.
The bill needs the support of at least 24 county assemblies before it can be tabled at the National Assembly.
February 11, Baringo county became the first county to reject the bill in a day that became chaotic, with police officers lobbing teargas into the assembly to disperse legislators.
