Kisii pastors murder case postponed

The mention of a case in which 11 suspects are accused of killing a pastor in Kisii County has been pushed to October 30 this year.

This is after Justice David Majanja on Wednesday granted the prosecution’s request for more time to prepare for the case.

The accused are alleged to have killed Pastor Esther Bochaberi Oyugi on the night of March 11, 2018 at Bokeire village in Kisii South Sub-county.

The pastor was reported to have been kidnapped from her home by unknown people on that fateful night, only for her body to be recovered in a sugarcane plantation in Rongo, Migori County a month later.

The suspects include; Fredrick Nyambati Nyaruri, James Mogita Mogambi, Edward Onyango Makori, Edwin Mayienda Nyabaro alias Nyangaresi, Benson Machuka and Peter Nyamarere.

Others are Joseph Moiré Onduko Alias Atuti, Reuben Onduso Ongeri, Christopher Oyugi Omwege, Robert Orwaru Agagi and Vincent Maobe Osoro.

The accused are out on a bond of Ksh.500,000 each.
