Kisumu health workers on spot over graft

The County Government of Kisumu has put corrupt health practitioners on notice saying that it will take action against them should they be found culpable of engaging in any form of malpractice.

The Kisumu County Executive Committee Member for Health, Dr Elizabeth Ogaja, said that the county is already carrying out an audit and any practitioner found on the wrong side of the law will be prosecuted.

She warned the officers against engaging in dubious dealing that are not within their job descriptions noting that some members of the public have lodged complaints on the matter.

“There have been complaints from members of public accusing some health practitioners from Kisumu County of corruption,” noted Ogaja.

She said that they are already auditing lifestyles of those officers in question and appropriate action will be taken against those found culpable.
