Kisumu: Man kills self after stabbing wife outside their son’s school

A mother of one is receiving medical attention in Kisumu after she was reportedly stabbed and left for dead by her husband.

According to the officers handling the matter, the couple had just dropped off their son at the Kisumu Day Secondary School when the man turned on his wife during an argument.

The man, a primary school teacher in Muhoroni proceeded to stab his wife several times outside the school gate before slitting his own throat.

Nyanza DCI Boss Kipkorir Towett confirmed the incidence saying that the suspect succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical attention.

Police also recovered a vial of an unknown poison at the scene of the incidence amid speculation that the man may have ingested the poison before running himself through with the knife.
