KNUT Faults Form One Selection Process

The union is now challenging the ministry of education to disclose the criteria used in the selection.

West Pokot KNUT branch executive Secretary Martin Sembelo , said the government should nullify the selection process and start it afresh because some candidates who had scored high marks had been denied an opportunity to join schools of their choice.

Sembelo further noted that a pupil who scored more than 400 marks missed the opportunity to join a National school yet the same opportunity was given to a student who scored 200 marks.

The action follows public outcry that there are so many pupils who got more than 400 marks but most of them have been selected to join county extra schools instead of national or county schools.
