Kogelo residents line up to “cast their votes” in U.S. elections: VIDEO

Residents of Kogelo village in Siaya County on Tuesday, November 8, held a mock election that runs parallel to the ongoing United States general election.

The Kogelo residents are optimistic that Democrat Hillary Clinton will emerge victorious in the hotly contested race to White House that pits her against Republican Donald Trump.

A majority of the residents “voted” for Hillary Clinton in the mock election.

They say they want Clinton to win because she will keep development projects in Kogelo alive – just like Barack Obama did.

Elsewhere, Bungoma residents have given varied opinions regarding who is likely to become America’s 45th president.

Speaking in Bungoma town, the residents said Hillary Clinton is likely to win because of her approachability when it comes to dealing with divergent views, unlike her competitor Donald Trump whom they term as rigid on varied issues.
