KRA Imposters Beaten By Mob In Thika

The four smartly dressed men allegedly harassed businessmen in Ngoingwa Shopping Center claiming they were KRA officials.

At one point, they raided Zawadi hardware shop and accused the owner of not issuing customers with KRA receipts.

They dragged him in their white car provoking his workers to raise alarm that attracted the crowd and bodaboda operators.

The mob pursued the suspects and beat them senselessly before they were rescued by policemen who took them to Thika Police Station

The incident comes shortly after the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission also nabbed a man, George Odhiambo in January who allegedly received Shs. 200, 000 after masquerading as a KRA official.

The Ethics and Anti Corruption Commissioned has warned members of the public to be alert as there are many people who are posing as KRA officers
