Ksh.3M ‘executive’ sofa sets, bed missing from Speaker’s house in Kisumu

Furniture worth Ksh.3million has reportedly disappeared from the Speaker’s house that belongs to the Kisumu County Assembly.

The incident at the posh Milimani estate prompted the county assembly to lodge a formal complaint at the Kisumu Central Police Station.

Acting Clerk Owen Ojuok told Citizen Digital that the cabinets, executive sofa sets, TV, executive bed and other furniture belongs to the County Assembly.

According to him, they were to be handed over by former Speaker Onyango Oloo after the court ruling on his impeachment case.

Ojuok added that Oloo vacated the Speaker’s house the same day the judgment was delivered.

It is alleged that that the team taking inventory of the Assembly property visited the house situated next to Kisumu State Lodge and discovered tat furniture was missing.

He has now urged police to expedite their investigations to find the missing furniture which includes  among other properties.
