Kwale: Father and daughter killed on way to new school

A 40-year-old man and his daughter died in a grisly road accident on the Msambweni- Lungalunga road in Kwale.

According to county police boss Joseph Ngethe, Gabriel Mwero was taking his daughter Maria Nyamvula Mwero to join Form One.

The 15-year-old girl was expected to arrive at Kingwende Girls Secondary School on Wednesday morning.

They boarded the father’s motorbike and embarked on their journey.

However, as he attempted to overtake a bus that was ahead of him, another motorbike suddenly appeared in his path.

The two motorbikes which are said to have been speeding, collided head on.

Mwero and his daughter died on the spot.

Their bodies have been taken to the Kwale Sub-county hospital mortuary .
