

Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya will have to part with Ksh.200,000 after snubbing summons by Senators.
The Senate County Public Accounts and Investment Committee slapped Governor Mvurya with the fine for failing to appear for hearings and late submission of required documentations.
The committee on Monday kicked off the questioning of governors on audit queries raised by Auditor General Edward Ouko.
Thirteen other governors among them Nairobi’s Mike Sonko and Hassan Joho of Mombasa have been summoned by the committee.
Others include Mwangi wa Iria (Murang’a), Cornel Rasanga (Siaya), Patrick Khaemba (Trans-Nzoia), Moses Lenolkulal (Samburu) and Martin Wambora (Embu), John Lonyangapuo (West Pokot), Granton Samboja (Taita-Taveta), Francis Kimemia (Nyandarua), Abdi Mahamud (Wajir), Mohamud Ali (Marsabit) and Ali Korane (Garissa).
