Kwale Women Rep accuses Governor of planting opponents

Kwale County Women Representative, Zainabu Chidzuga, has dismissed her competitor Fatuma Tabwara as a Jubilee after she announced her interests for the position through the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led party.

Speaking to Radio Citizen on phone, Chidzuga said the intention of Tabwara to run for the position was motivated by the political differences between her (Chidzuga) and the Kwale Governor, Salim Mvurya.

Chidzuga dismissed Fatuma, who is also the deputy chair of the county employment board, saying that she is a political stooge of the incumbent Kwale Governor.

She further said she is ready to compete with Fatuma for the Jubilee Party primaries and she is better placed given her four-year experience of representing and finding solutions to the problems and the youths and women of Kwale County.

This comes as Tabwara insists that she is waiting for Chizudga in the party primaries and believes she will beat her as she (Chizudga) has failed to perform her duties as the Kwale Women Representative.
