Lamu Police Deny Escorting Samantha

Speaking to a press outside his office, Omolo however confirmed the presence of a Spanish woman by the name Maria Mira Martinez on April 16th this year.

According to the police boss, the Spanish woman wanted protection to be taken to Kiunga National Reserve.

He denied reports that Lamu police were bribed to accompany her adding that Martinez was only accompanied by a tour guide who had been paid for the work.

Omolo further added that the number plate of the car that was used by Lewthwaite was not the same one that attacked 2 KDF soldiers last week.

It is suspected that the same police car that had been used by the fugitive during her alleged visit to the area could have been the one that was used during the attack on the KDF soldiers.

This comes after a report was published in one local daily newspaper claiming that the White lady had used the same car during her visit to the KDF camp.

The Commander of Police has also warned people against giving misleading information to the public at a time when the country is facing security challenges occasioned by terror attacks.
