Land Reforms Unstoppable, President Kenyatta Says

President Kenyatta told Kwale residents his Jubilee administration is determined to resolve historical land issues in the county in partnership with locals.


Kenyatta was speaking in Kwale County where he was hosted by Governor Salim Mvurya.


This also comes after local Mps Hassan Mwanyoha and Zainabu Chidzuga called for comprehensive land reforms in Coast region.


The head of state further urged all sectors to work with his government to tackle terrorism and insecurity in the country.


This comes just a few days after Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu announced that her ministry will implement to the letter the recommendations of an ongoing audit on the cancellation of titles.


Ngilu who was speaking during an extensive tour of Tana River and Lamu counties pledged to revoke the land that was irregularly allocated to Lamu county residents.


President Kenyatta was accompanied by Tourism Cabinet Secretary Phyllis Kandie, and parliament Majority Leader Aden Duale among others.
