Land Transactions Freeze Begins

Lands registries in the country were effectively shut down today at the start of a 10-day closure announced by Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu. The CS appears to have gotten her way in the power struggle pitting her ministry against the National Lands Commission that had assured the public it would be business as usual at the registries.
