Landlord Arrested After Marijuana Is Discovered In Tenants House

Police have been patrolling the area following the death of 43 people who consumed illicit brew.

Embu OCPD Terry Micheni said the slum has been a den of drugs and criminals.

A routine patrol in the area pushed criminals to go into hiding which then prompted police to search some of the houses.

After the search, the police discovered 15 kilos of marijuana which was found in one of the criminals' houses.

The police arrested the landlord George Gitari after he failed to reveal information of the tenant to the police.

Micheni said that the Nyumba Kumi initiative is being enforced in the area and that any landlord that will not volunteer information about criminal activities within their rented houses will be guilty of aiding and abetting a criminal.
