Leaders praise the late Biwott as a dedicated servant

Leaders have eulogized the late veteran politician and Cabinet Minister, Nicholas Kipyator Biwott, as a dedicated servant who helped the country be where it is now.

Speaking during the late Biwott’s requiem service at the AIC Milimani Church in Nairobi, Cabinet Secretaries Amina Mohammed and Henry Rotich termed the late powerful minister as a friend to many and a patriotic and courageous leader who gave his all for the country.

Former Head of Civil Service, Francis Muthaura, who also attended the event hailed Biwott as a dedicated civil servant during his time in the government.

The mass was attended by among others Biwott’s family and friends, top government officials, NASA leader Raila Odinga and former Tanzania President Jakaya Kikwete, who described the late Biwott as a personal friend who was dedicated to the growth of the region.

The 77-year-old former Minister, who died last Tuesday in a Nairobi hospital after a long illness, will be buried on Thursday at his home in Toot village, Elgeyo Marakwet County.
