Leaders Urge Kenyans to Emulate Sister Nyaatha

Speaking after the beatification ceremony in which Sister Nyaatha was declared a Blessed, national leaders led by President Uhuru Kenyatta called on Kenyans to emulate the example set by Sister Nyaatha.

“It is the single individuals that can begin the process of changing communities,” said President Kenyatta.

“Sister Stefani did not have to do what she did, this ceremony gives us the opportunity to renew ourselves in the spirit of compassion and humility.”

Kenyatta called on Kenyans to be tolerant of all religions saying no faith is superior to the other.

 

Making the event successful

“This country belongs to all of us and welcomes all religions.”

Former President Mwai Kibaki noted that human beings that transform the world are rare.

“Sister Stefani considered help to mankind even where circumstances were inhospitable,” noted the retired President.

“I could not miss this historic event,” stated Deputy President William Ruto. “I am very proud to be Kenyan today.”

“I hope that National leaders can learn from the humility of Sister Stefani,” said Nyeri Senator Mutahi Kagwe.

On his part, Nyeri Governor Nderitu Gachagua thanked Nyeri residents for hosting the great historic event.

“We thank the President, his government and other key stakeholders who played a major role in making this event successful,” said Gachagua.
