Learning Paralyzed At Kakuyuni School

The action by teachers follows a move by parents to eject the head teacher

The parents alleged that the head teacher stole 20 books from the school and took them to his private school.

There was tension as parents stormed the school and threatened to take away their children.

This was after a realization that Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT), Malindi branch, had ordered teachers not to report to work until the head teacher’s case had been resolved.

The school’s chairman Morris Fondo Charo, said the head teacher’s report was in the ministry of education, Kilifi County.

Charo said education officers will visit the school on Friday.

The Kakuyuni Ward representative Nixon Muramba has said that the parents no longer have faith in the head teacher.

The head teacher has since accepted his mistake and has asked for forgiveness and has even returned the books back to the school.
