Leave Gusii to me, Ongwae tells Raila

Kisii County Governor James Ongwae has assured National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga that he will rally up 800, 000 votes for the Opposition coalition ahead of the much anticipated August 8 General Election.

The governor, who will be defending his position on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket, told Raila to leave Kisii County to him.

“I want to assure you that leave Gusii to me and we shall deliver in August. We have put together a youthful team that will ensure Jubilee is completely locked out of the equation,” he said.

Being the campaign supervisor, Ongwae promised to work hand in hand with other local leaders to drum up support for the Opposition.

He pledged to work with ODM treasurer Senator Janet Ong’era, Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama and Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire.
