ACK bishop calls for dialogue to end lecturers strike

The Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Archbishop Jackson ole Sapit has urged the government to urgently resolve the lecturers strike.

 

On Friday, Mr. Sapit called for representatives from the two sides to have open negotiations that will firmly address issues affecting the tutors.
 

Speaking at St Barnabas Primary School in Kipkenyo, Uasin Gishu County, the ACK bishop said students have been greatly affected by the strike and the impasse should no longer persist.
 

He reiterated the need for relevant parties to engage in constructive dialogue to enable the union and ministry of education reach an agreement.

 

The interest of Kenyans must come first, beyond self interests because the future of our children is in their hands, the ACK church leader said.
