Lenku, Kimaiyo Should Not Resign, Says MP

Kamau said that the resignation of the two will not bring the much needed change in the security department neither will it stop terror attacks.

Speaking in his constituency Kamau noted that the security team has done commendable job in averting terror activities in the country and that Kenyans put trust in the team.

He said that to combat crime in the country, there is need to re-examine security department as well as empowering the forces to fight terror.

Kamau also noted that the government should consider creation of a specialized force to combat terrorism which should be under National Security and Intelligence Services (NSIS).

He said that the only way to shorten the decision making processes on fighting terrorism is to have the terror force unit under the command of NSIS director general.

The MP called upon Kenyans of all religions to join hands together in fight against terror noting that the terror gang intends to create a wedge between Muslim and Christian community.
