Lets vote peacefully, President Kenyatta pleads

President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged Kenyans not to be used by rogue politicians to cause chaos during this electioneering period and after the August 8 General Election.

Speaking on his second day tour of Meru County, the president called upon the residents to re-elect him as his Jubilee administration has rolled out many projects that help Kenyans since he took office in 2013.

“We don’t want anybody to shed blood because of a politician. I call upon you, residents, don’t allow politicians use you to cause violence. Let’s  maintain peace and co-exist peacefully among all communities,” said Uhuru.

Either, the president laughed-off the recent National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders’ claims that Meru is fast becoming an opposition stronghold,  affirming that the people of Meru are solely behind Jubilee and will not be deceived by what he terms as “politicians accustomed to empty rhetoric”.

“Don’t be lied by NASA, they don’t have an agenda for Kenyans. Raila coming here and chewing Miraa is not a solution for farmers. Solution to Miraa farmers is to devise policies that will enable a ready market for their produce which Jubilee is going to initiate. Vote for me so that we can continue to transforming our country,” added President Kenyatta.

The president added that his administration has laid a foundation for massive investments since they took office in 2013, and that the next phase will be to embark on industrialization that will benefit all Kenyans.

On his part, Deputy President William Ruto took a swipe at the opposition coalition, NASA, urging residents to vote for Jubilee as opposed to NASA who do not have a clear agenda for Kenyans.

Would you like a government that is giving its people development projects, or one that is made up of power hungry leaders? Vote for Jubilee overwhelmingly for us to continue with building roads, connecting people to electricity, and improving wellbeing of miraa farmers,” said the DP.
