Light aircraft crash lands at Maili Saba in Isiolo

A light aircraft that was carrying two passengers crash landed at Maili Saba in Isiolo on Wednesday.

Reports indicate that the pilot of the Cessna plane, registration number 5Y-VBB, was trying to land on the road following a mechanical failure.

The two passengers aged 74 and 70, said to be employees from Lewa Downs conservancy, however escaped unhurt.

They were reportedly headed to Nanyuki from Isiolo when the incident occurred.

Curious onlookers milled at the scene to catch a glimpse of the aircraft.
