Linturi: I Am Ready For Talks Over Waiguru
Speaking to the Royal Media Services Ltd, Linturi said he was ready to meet Jubilee leaders for talks over the impeachment of Waiguru
Linturi admitted that he is under pressure to drop the motion which has received the support of nearly 200 other MPs from the Jubilee coalition.
Linturi said he was ready to hold the talks but made it clear that those MPs who had already signed the petition cannot purport to withdraw their signatures.
A section of MPs who have already signed in support of the motion met on Sunday to persuade Linturi to drop the planned motion this week.
The Senate Majority Leader Kithure Kindiki on Sunday expressed confidence that Linturi would drop the motion.
Kindiki said that even if a motion was in the House, it was not necessarily automatic for it to go through.
Linturi in his motion accuses Waiguru of abuse of office after she transferred the former National Youth Service Director Kiplimo Ragut to the sports ministry.
