LIST: Almost every Nairobi estate has reported coronavirus case, CS Kagwe says

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe now says coranavirus cases in Nairobi are spread out in almost all estates.

In a press briefing on Saturday, CS Kagwe once again pleaded with Kenyans to be more serious in adhering to the safety measures announced by the government to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

The Health CS said in Nairobi’s Kilimani estate there are six cases, Pipeline (5), Karen (4), South C (4), Kawangware (3), Tassia (2), Utawala (4), Kitisuru (2), Parklands (2), Buru Buru (2) and Kibra (2).

He further stated that other estates in the city among them Donholm, Eastleigh, Hurlingham, Lavington, Runda, Ngara, Madaraka, Kasarani have reported at least one case.

“We have also mapped the cases and zeroed down to the areas of origin. In Nairobi for instance, we have noticed that
the cases are spread between almost all estates… I want to plead with all of us to take the measures we have announced more seriously,” said Kagwe.

The number of coronavirus infections in Kenya has risen to 262 after 16 more patients tested positive with two more patients succumbing to COVID-19.
