Love triangle turns fatal after woman kills husbands lover

Infuriated residents of Karumandi Trading Centre in Gicugu constituency, Kirinyaga County on Monday evening stormed Karumandi Administration Police (AP) camp baying for the blood of a 35-year-old woman who allegedly killed another in a messy love triangle.

According to Gicugu AP Commander Stephen Munyi, the suspect, Mary Wawira Ngare, fatally stabbed Elizabeth Wanjiku in the neck with a kitchen knife for allegedly being involved in an intimate relationship with her husband, Stephen Njogu Magu.

Ms Wanjiku’s body was taken to Kibugi Funeral Home in Kutus.

Police managed to save Ms Wawira from being lynched by the angry mob.

The suspect was moved to Kianyaga Police Station for safety reasons. AP Commander Stephen Munyi said police have launched investigations into the matter.
