Low numbers in KDF recruitment in Embu

Low numbers in KDF recruitment in Embu
The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) recruitment exercise entered its third day Wednesday, September 21 to a low turn out.

The leading recruitment officer for Embu County, Lt. Col. Patrick Mwasumbe stated that few females had turned up for the exercise compared to previous years.

Mwasumbe said that while the general turn out was poor, the reason behind the failure by the youth to show up for the recruitment exercise is yet to be established.

He says that the recruitment was well publicized for all to know where it will take place but few are interested in the exercise.

Mwasumbe called upon the youth to show up and try their luck since the exercise is free and fair for all.

Speaking at Kairuri grounds in Embu North Sub County during the recruitment exercise, Mwasumbe said that despite the low turn out, KDF officers were able to get the number required.
