Lugari MP’s bodyguard dies in Karen road crash
A bodyguard to Lugari MP Ayub Savula and a 17-year-old boy died on Wednesday night in an accident that occurred in Karen, Nairobi.
The driver of the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was rushed to MP Shah hospital where he was admitted to the ICU.
The vehicle is said to have veered off the road and rolled severally killing the aide identified as Victor Mudidi and the boy who is reportedly a friend of Mr Savula’s son.
“They had dropped me home and I released the driver to drop the bodyguard, and my son’s friend when the road accident occurred,” he said. “The driver was to drop the passengers at their homes and later also retire at the My Runda home.”
According to the police, eye-witnesses reported that the vehicle was speeding when it lost control as it approached the Karen shopping centre
Nairobi Traffic Commandant Peter Ndung’u said they are investigating the incident.
