We’ll back Jubilee -Luhya elders

A section of leaders from Western Kenya have vowed to support President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto in their fight against terrorism and graft.

Speaking during the requiem mass for the 11 victims of recent Mandera massacre at Chaka grounds in Kieni Constituency, Nyeri County, former Minister for Forestry and Wildlife Dr. Noah Wekesa said that the Luhya community is warming up to fully support Kenyatta and Ruto in the next General elections.

Wekesa added that he chaired a 13-member meeting of Luhya elders where they deliberated that they will not only support the duo in the fight against terrorism and corruption but also in recapturing their relevant seats in 2017.

His words were echoed by Former Budalangi Member of Parliament Raphael Wanjala who assured the President and his Deputy that they will get overwhelming votes from Western Kenya in the forthcoming polls.
Recently appointed Cabinet Secretary for Water and Irrigation Eugene Wamalwa disclosed that he will offer President Kenyatta the maximum support like that he offered his former boss Mwai Kibaki.
