Machakos, Makueni Wiper MCAs Protest Majority Leaders Drop

Wiper party MCAs from Machakos and Makueni counties have accused party leader Kalonzo Musyoka of meddling in the affairs of the two county assemblies following a decision by the party's national executive council to demote Machakos County Assembly majority leader Joshua Mwonga and his Makueni counterpart Francis Mutuku. In what could trigger a rift in the party the MCAs say they do not recognize the decision of the party claiming it is in contravention with the law that governs the appointment of the holder of the office of majority leader.
