Machakos: Man chops off wifes ears in horrific knife attack

A middle-aged woman in Masinga Constituency, Machakos County is nursing serious injuries after her husband cut off her both ears for allegedly revealing that he had stolen goats.

The mother of three revealed that 11 goats recovered on Monday in Damsite Village (Kaonyweni) in Kithyoko Location had been stolen by her husband.

The husband, armed with sharp knives, attacked the wife with the help of his brother and sliced off both of her ears, before going into hiding.

According to Kitololo Village manager Peter Mailu Musembi, they heard distress calls and responded immediately, only to find the woman bleeding profusely and rushed her to Kithyoko Health Centre where she is being treated.

Police have since launched a hunt for the suspects.
