Machakos MCAs Clash

The event was disrupted after one of the MCAs insisted he would be the last to talk and protested against Mutua’s deputy being allowed to address the gathering.

The leaders who were attending a harambee to purchase a bus for Kisangani secondary school disagreed after area MCA Joshua Mwonga arrived at the school.

Mwonga however had not been invited to the function as he is allied to Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua although he is an alumnus of the school.

Thereafter Mwonga then attempted to snatch the microphone from Carol Musembi a Wiper nominated MCA who is allied to Muthama and who had invited Machakos deputy governor Bernard Kiala and that’s when the scuffle began.

Soon the two sides were entangled in a tag of war.

Some of the parents who attended the event also joined in the fight and dared the intruders.

Speaking after calm had resumed Muthama warned that all wiper MCAs who are not supporting the party would be removed.

The chaos witnessed is an indicator that the deep-rooted differences between local leaders are yet to be resolved.
