Machakos MCAs pass motion to impeach Finance CEC

A majority of Machakos Members of the County Assembly on Wednesday passed a motion to impeach the Finance and Economic Planning CEC Francis Maliti citing incompetence.

27 MCAs out of 59 passed the motion to impeach Maliti who is also the county’s Deputy Governor claiming incompetence, gross misconduct.

The motion of impeachment was tabled by Matungulu East MCA, Comas Ngula Masesi and seconded by Kangundo MCA, Moses Mitaa.

Other grounds of impeachment include; lack of a degree certificate and gross violation of the Constitution.
