Main suspect behind a fake jobs racket at JKIA arrested

Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives have arrested the main suspect behind a fake jobs racket at the JKIA.

According to a police report seen by Citizen Digital, Bonface Ouko was arrested after falling headfirst into a trap laid out by the sleuths.

“Prior to his arrest, the 29-year-old suspect had presented a fake letter of offer to a detective posing as a jobseeker,” the police report says.

The suspect had even changed his name, according to police, in order to throw anyone on his tail off.

“Ouko had adopted a fake name, Peter Kamuri and developed a fake eurocraft security pass bearing the name,” the police report reads.

Those who fell prey to his schemes would be charged a multitude of fees, including medical fees, security pass fees, interview fees, and uniform fees.

After paying the full amount of the fees, they would be given fake letters, and the suspect would go missing.

The suspect is currently being held at JKIA police station awaiting to be arraignment in court on Monday.

Those who may have fallen victim to his schemes have been urged to report the same to the DCI.
