Makini Schools teacher charged with false obtaining of credit

A Makini Group of Schools teacher was on Friday, February 17 arraigned in court and charged with obtaining credit falsely.

David Isindu Amalemba is accused that on May 21, 2016 at Best Travels Limited along Mama Ngina Street in Nairobi, incurred a debt or liability to one Peter Nganga Chege amounting to Ksh 986,689 by falsely pretending that he would refund 12 air tickets for Nairobi Chorale after the music concert in Chicago, United States of America.

Mr Isindu, who is also Nairobi chorale trainer, however, denied the charges before a Nairobi Milimani Principal Magistrate, Charity Oluoch.

He was released on Ksh 200,000 cash bail with alternative bond of Ksh 500,000 with surety of similar amount.

The case will be mentioned on March 3, 2017.
