Man, 32, killed in apparent love triangle

A 32-year-old man was on Saturday night murdered in a suspected love triangle in Sori Sub Location, Nyatike Sub County, Migori County.

The deceased, John Otieno Ouko, was bludgeoned by an unknown assailant a few meters from the New Life Bar in Sori Town where he was drinking in the company of his father and friends.

Confirming the incident, Sori Sub Location Assistant Chief Mr Barnabas Majiwa said the father of the deceased said his son left them in the bar promising to return in a short while but after a few minutes they learnt that he had been attacked.

“Our preliminary investigation has established that John Otieno Ouko and the unknown assailant were fighting over a lady, we are still investigating the matter to establish the truth,” he said

The administrator told Citizen Digital that locals who had seen the suspect assisted in the man hunt but were not able to find him.

The body of the deceased is preserved at the Migori Level IV Hospital mortuary.
