Man, 64, hacked to death in his house

The body of 64-year-old man was on Thursday found inside his house in Kibera slums, Nairobi after he was hacked to death by unknown assailants.

According to Lang’ata AP Commandant Mr Patrick Kyengo, the deceased was found dead on his bed with deep cuts on his head by his neighbor on Thursday morning.

Police are yet to arrest anyone in connection with the incident but investigations are on-going.

His body was taken to the City Mortuary.

Meanwhile, police in Meru South district, Kajuki sub-location are investigating an incident where the body of a 60-year-old man was found floating in the lower side of River Maara on Thursday morning.

Confirming the incident, Tharakanithi’s County Police Coordinator Yusuf Bashane said the deceased, David Mwikamba, had earlier been reported missing by residents in the area.

The body was moved to Chuka District Hospital Mortuary awaiting a postmortem.
