Man accused of defiling daughter, 7, released on Ksh.200K bond

A man accused of defiling his 7-year-old daughter was on Thursday been released on a Ksh.200,000 bond.

Appearing before Winam Law Courts Senior Resident Magistrate Bernard Kasavuli, Odhiambo faced two charges of defilement and committing an indecent act with a minor contrary to the sexual offenses act.

The accused denied the charges and, in mitigation, blamed his estranged wife and mother of the child for his tribulations.

The court heard that the accused, on diverse dates between August 25 – 29, willfully committed the offenses in Kisumu’s Obunga slums.

Magistrate Kasavuli ordered the accused be released on bond awaiting the mention of the case scheduled for September 12, 2018 and a hearing set for November 13, 2018.
