The 55-year-old victim who is recuperating at Tenwek Mission Hospital in Bomet is said to have been ambushed by the son as he enjoyed a snack at the family kiosk.

Police say the son then proceeded to pour what is believed to have been petrol on the dad before setting him ablaze.
