Man arrested after son killed with hot water in West Pokot

A man suspected to have murdered his 8-year-old son has been arrested in Sigor, West Pokot County.

Reports indicate that the suspect identified as Madangure Chelonges poured boiling water on his son.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the incident occurred on January 17.

The boy was rushed to a local hospital but later succumbed to the severe burns he sustained during the ordeal.

The suspect remains in custody pending arraignment as further investigations continue.
