Man arrested in Bondo for allegedly turning 17yr-old daughter into his wife

A 38-year-old man is being held at Bondo Police Station after he was arrested for allegedly turning his 17-year-old daughter into a wife.

Daniel Odhiambo Odongo alias Dan Jamasala was arrested at his house in Wagusu village Central Sakwa location yon Frida night after the girl reported the matter.

According to Mr. William Oreme, Assistant Chief of West Migwena sub-location,  the minor reported that the suspect had defiled her on several occasions.

Mr. Oreme told Radio Ramogi that the suspect had been staying with his daughter after a separation from his wife a couple of years ago.

The administrator said the suspect also injured the girl when she refused to have a sexual intercourse with him on Thursday night.

The chief condemned the act saying it is unacceptable for a man to have a sexual relationship with his daughter.

Mr. Oreme further decried the increased number of cases of incest cases in the region.

The suspect will be arraigned at the Bondo Law Courts on Monday January 27, 2020 to face defilement charges.
