Man assaults daughter for denying him sex

A sixteen year-old girl in Hindi secondary school in Lamu is nursing serious injuries after her biological father assaulted her near death after she refused to have sex with him.

According to the teenager, her father has attempted to sleep with her several times and when she refused, he found other mistakes to blame her for, punishing her severely and threatening to strangle her in case she revealed the secret to her mother.

Her mother says although she has been persevering through a lot of problems, she now has no option but to leave her husband after he brutally beat up their daughter.

Area chief Abdalla Shahasy said the accused had already been arrested and he warned parents against such heinous acts saying that the law will take its course.
