Man Attempts Suicide by Entering Restricted Area

Geoffrey Juma pleaded guilty to entering a protected area on an alleged suicide mission after life in the city became too hard.

He blamed the aborted plan on his joblessness and his wife abandoning him.

The aerodrome, formerly known as RAF Eastleigh, is a military airport located to the east of Nairobi, near Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

It is used by the Kenya Air Force and closed to the public.
