Man beaten to death after killing headteacher in Kakamega

In a series of unfortunate events, two people are dead and another nursing a broken leg all stemming from a child’s suspension and an angry father.

Event 1: Peter Abuya’s child, a Class Seven pupil is suspended from Emako Primary School in Khwisero, Kakamega after a fight. The child goes home and tells the father about the issue.

Event 2: Mr Abuya learns of his child’s suspension and decides to confront the school head, Henry Aseka, and get to the bottom of it. Eyewitnesses claim that Abuya went to the school after learning that his child was beaten up by another parent.

Event 3: According to Area OCPD, Lamet Siili, a confrontation ensues and Abuya strikes the headteacher on his head with a chair rendering him unconscious. Aseka is rushed to Sonak Hospital where doctors confirmed him dead on arrival.

Event 4: Deputy headteacher of the school Susan Bilha, on her way to report the killing to the police breaks her leg after being hit by a motorbike. She is currently admitted at St. Mary’s Mission Hospital, Mumias.

Event 5: Word about the headteacher’s death spreads and angry residents catch up with Abuya at Ishirembe village where they beat him to death. His body was transferred to St. Mary’s Mission Hospital mortuary in Mumias.
