Justus Kamoja; Man caught on CCTV beating up female guard arrested

The man who was caught on camera assaulting a female security guard at a residential area in Komarock, Nairobi  has been arrested.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations identified the man as 30-year-old Justus Kamoja.

The suspect has since been detained and is set to be presented in court.

“The 30 year old suspect will be arraigned in court once necessary police action is complete. Many thanks to all those that contacted us,” said the DCI on Tuesday afternoon.

In the video that has gone viral, the man is seen opening the estate’s gate against the guard’s wishes.

She attempts to close the gate which seems to upset the man.

A verbal altercation ensues but the guard seems to ignore him and proceeds to make a second attempt at closing the gate.

The man then quickly closes the distance between them and starts to assault her in a visible fit of rage.

He starts to slap her but the female guard doesn’t retaliate; she just keeps moving away. This continues until they move out of range of the CCTV camera.

The guard is seen again in complete view of the camera, followed by the man who continues beating her.

Two unidentified people emerge from the vehicle that the man was driving and attempt to intervene; they are are a middle-aged man and an elderly woman.

The enraged man then returns to the vehicle and speeds off, leaving his two passengers behind.
