Man charged with 5 counts of defilement released on bond

A Molo court released a man charged with five counts of defilement on Ksh.500,000 bond.

According to court documents, David Karega, 30, is accused of defiling five girls.

“…that between September 10 to 19 this year, at Rigogo village in Rongai, (David Karega) defiled  7, 5 and 4 year old year old minors and attempted to defile two others aged 6 and 5 years,” the papers read.

Karega who was before Resident Magistrate Rhoda Yator also faced an additional charge of having an indecent act with the five minors.

During the proceedings, the Prosecution asked the court to consider fixing a hearing date soon as the minors might forget what happened.
