Man charged with conspiring to steal Ksh.18M from SMEP Microfinance Bank

A man was on Monday charged with conspiring to steal Ksh.18 million from SMEP Microfinance Bank.

Humphrey Aluda Madali was also accused of stealing Ksh.65,000 from SMEP limited on May 24, 2019 as well as handling stolen property owed to the institution.

Appearing before Milimani Court Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi, the accused denied all charges and was released on a Ksh.500,000 cash bail with an alternative bond of Ksh.1 million.

Mr. Madali, who was arrested on May 25, is set to appear in court again on July 2, 2019 for mention.
